Last weekend we went to Las Vegas with our cousins and friends. We left Friday afternoon and arrived at just in time to get to the MGM Grand to see KA. The theater and the show were incredible. Yes, there was a slight technical difficulty when the main stage malfunctioned, but after 15 minutes they re-started the show and from then on it was nothing but spectacle. Totally worth the price of admission. If you've ever been to a Cirque Du Soleil show, you know they can be a bit avant garde, or as Dave said, "I'm not sure what I just saw, but I really liked it."
Saturday, the boys went to Silverton to shop at the Bass Pro shop and to play some cards. The girls had a day out at one of the local malls, had lunch and got pedicures. . . a very "girlie" day. We all met up for dinner and cards later that evening.
Sunday, the guys left at the crack of dawn for the NASCAR race at the Las Vegas Speedway. The girls hit the outlets, and got some great bargins. Then we went back to the hotel and hung out at the pool for the rest of the day. When the boys were finally done with their day, we met up for dinner at McCormick and Schmick's. Dave even ordered an escargot appetizer with dinner. He was very adventureous, and tried to get Karen to take a bite, but she would cave.
Sunday we hit the road pretty early because we had to get home for the kids.
We had a really nice time with everyone and it was great having some time together.
Enjoy the photos.
