It's Been a While

Hey, I was checking out my friend's blogs and noticed that it's almost been a month since I've posted anything on mine! So what's been going on? I've got to check my calendar. . .hold on. . .

ok My brother-in-law, Michael, celebrated his 40th birthday. Robin (my sister-in-law) arranged a surprise party for him at the ESPNZone in Downtown Disney. She'd been planning for about 2 months, invited over 100 people and everyone managed to actually keep it a secret. Michael was very surprised. I videotaped the event and am in the process of cutting together a highlight reel for Michael. I just haven't had time to finish it yet.

Speaking of editing projects, I worked for Car Crazy the first two weeks of April. I cut the new opening of their show, and parts of the show that airs this Thursday. They're trying to turn me into a "car guy." I've seen so many different cars within the last month I'm now starting to notice the "good ones" as I'm driving. Then I did television remotes for the new Dodge Avenger. There's definitely a car theme going on here.

Katie was in her one-act play at school which was a parody of a Greek tragedy. She got to die on stage. It was quite a performance. Right now she's in the middle of a bunch of orchestra rehearsals for the Heritage Music Festival in Las Vegas next weekend. She's excited about going on the trip. Also, last Friday she and her friends spent the afternoon and evening at Disneyland. They had a great time since it had rained most of the day and it kept the people away. The lines were short.

Miss Maggie is still doing her hip-hop. She's got a recital in June. She's really been liking her class. She's really getting into dancing and she'd like to add more classes to her schedule. We'll see how that goes once we hit summer.

Speaking of summer, I know its only April, but we're already planning our schedules for summer vacation. Looks like it's day camp 2 days a week for Maggie and Katie will work at a counselor in training. We've also got a quick trip to Scottsdale, Mother's Day with the cousins (and Dave and Karen's new spa), our pseudo-cam pout over Memorial Day at O'Neil (gotta love it when you camp . . .ok, just have a cookout and bonfire 10 minutes from home), the 4th of July at Dave and Karen's, NASCAR at Kent and Lisa's in Norco (you know, Steve and Wanda are going to be there ;-)), a girls weekend with Sue and Ann somewhere on the west coast, overnight camping in Big Bear for Maggie and Hume Lake for Katie, beach camping at Doheney in August and then a Disney Cruise in September. In between all that I've got the Pirates premiere and Finding Nemo opening gigs at Disneyland. Sheesh. I'm tired just typing it all. I guess that'll give you something to look forward to on the blog.

ANYWAY, I think I've probably rambled on long enough. Hopefully I'll have new stuff and pictures to post soon!
