My folks and a new neighbor

I guess life's busy since I haven't updated the blog for about a month. "TV on a Stick" is really taking off. So I've been working a lot, but now, on my own terms, which is awesome.

The first photo is one of my parents, Pete and Eileen. My mom just sent it to me last night. They haven't had a professional portrait taken in about 8 or 9 years, so it was such a treat to see them all dressed up and looking fabulous. Can you believe my dad's 70! And I'd tell you my mom's age, but I don't want to get in trouble!

The second set of pictures are of our new neighborhood pet. Our friend Barb has named him "Nasty McNastersen." He thinks he lives here. We're not feeding him, but I think our next door neighbor's boys are. I figure Nasty must be pretty cunning, because usually in this part of Orange County, outside cats are known as coyote food. I've never seen one last outside for more than a couple of weeks, but Mr. McNastersen's been hanging out for about six weeks.

Anyway, the kids are doing great. Maggie's finally settled into a homework routine for Jr. High (YEA!!!) and at this moment, Katie is auditioning for her school's Christmas musical "Scrooge." I guess show business is in her blood. Papa was right about that!

I'll post some pictures on Sunday of my birtday party. My WONDERFUL sister-in-law, Robin is throwing me a slumber party. I can't wait! I wonder who's house we're going to T.P. . . .
