Katie had her junior high school awards night on Thursday. She received two awards. One for a GPA of 3.5 or higher, and a second one for the Presidential Academic Excellence award.
There are over 1600 students at her school and about 400 at the ceremony, so it took a bit of time (2 1/2 hours) to get through all the awards, but all the kids seemed really happy to be recognized.
Way to go Katie!
