Well, the day that Katie's been waiting for for over a year finally arrived yesterday. She and her best friend Megan spent all day yesterday waiting on the red carpet for the stars of Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest.
Lucky her, I was hired by Disneyland to work the event, so I drove them there in the morning and was able to keep tabs on them throughout the day.
They had a great time. Katie had a tough choice to make, though. She opted for autographs from the stars instead of pictures. She couldn't get both.
The red carpet was supposed to be two hours long, but Johnny Depp and Orlando Bloom were signing so many autographs and taking so many pictures that it took almost 4 hours to get down the carpet, and by the time they reached the spot where Katie was, the Disney folks wisked the stars down the carpet and into Adventureland and New Orleans Square for the screening.
Katie did get a few good autographs: Kiera Knightly (Elizabeth Swann), Jerry Bruckheimer (The Producer) and Kevin McNally (Mr. Gibbs)
Katie took lots more photos. I'm sure you can check them out on her blog as soon as she posts them.
