The fires are burning Northeast right now, which is really good for homes in the area. It's burned into the Cleveland National Forest and away from Trabuco Canyon, Robinson Ranch and Rancho Santa Margarita. The smoke and ash, however, are even more heavy because the Santa Ana winds have ceased blowing the plumes of debris out to sea. Its all just settling in the canyons and valleys in our area. We are the Saddleback Valley, you know. And speaking of the Saddleback Valley, the Saddleback Valley Unified School District had cancelled all classes and activities today. Tomorrow is even on hold for now. It's just too smoky to go outside if you don't have to.
About these photos:
You may think I have my camera on the "sepia-tone" setting, but this was the actual color of the light outside last night. It kind of themes to Halloween, don't you think?

Orange you glad I'm sharing my photos?

This may look like a shot of the rising moon through the trees, but it's actually the sun.

More soot and ash has collected in the yard.

Here's a closeup of a handful of the ash and soot from the yard. Pieces the size of postage stamps were falling yesterday afternoon. It looked like snow flurries (I apologize about the photo posted sideways. I don't know why it's doing that. I'll have to figure that out).
