The fire burned further back into the foothills last night. There's not a lot of flames to see here, but lots of smoke, soot and ash. It looks like someone's poured salt and pepper on the sidewalks and driveways in the neighborhood. They're still not running school buses into the "effected" areas, so I've been driving the girls back and forth to school. I'm not sure what kids do who have two working parents.
There's also a new fire in Camp Pendleton, which is about 18 miles to the south of us. They closed off the 5 freeway last night near Oceanside. That's a big deal since it's really only 1 of 2 ways to get in or out of the San Diego area.
Anyway, I'll take more photos today, but there's not much to see other than smoke.
